Arc’teryx was born in 1991 from North Vancouver, Canada. Arc’teryx company provides high technical outdoor apparel with well known classics such as Alpha, Beta, Gamma or Zeta hardshell. Vancouver and its harsh north American climate defines what Arc’teryx is doing and where it comes from. Founder’s dave Lane explaines how they started doing climbing gear to extend the brand to a full range of outdoor apparels. In 1996 Arc’teryx obtained the licence from W.L. Gore & Associates for use of GORE-TEX and signed a major move in the company history. Arc’teryx philosophy is that you have to design by doing, so every single product has been made for a reason. A hardshell must be combined with under layers, down insulation or technical t-shirt. The Atom jacket fits perfectly for Brussels city, you stay insulated with water resistance and wind proofing. Arc’teryx believes in sustainability issues, focusing on everlasting gears in order to reduce environmental impact. Go Canada 😉
